Protect the Japanese tradition and revive it in a new way.
Our home country, Japan, has the unique tradition, culture and skills that all have been inherited since the ancient times.
They have to be protected and passed down to the next generations.
However, regional industries such as traditional handicrafts and agriculture have various problems including decreasing demand and lack of successors.
In order to solve these problems, we are creating new values out of things that are used, consumed and played in different fields with a business insight.
As a result, those new values bring new jobs to the locals and recover the economy, which could even make an impact to urban areas and foreign countries.
Developed products created with knowledge and skills of the Japanese traditional handicrafts and agriculture will be inherited to next generations and this positive cycle will improve the economy of local regions and the whole country.
Again, our mission is to protect, revive, and expand Japanese traditions.
Upcycle project for the handicrafts and regional industries
In the handicraft and agriculture industries, there are numerous dead stocks and oddments happened during production and unfortunately, they don’t come out at all.>> VISIT WAKURA
So far those items are left in factories, abandoned, or cheaply sold claiming stock disposal and imperfect products.
However, in this project, with the concept of “Protect the Japanese tradition and revive it in a new way”, those imperfect products are redesigned and added extra value, which becomes new stories and backgrounds of the products.
*Rebuilt products are not made from used materials. All materials we use are brand new, such as scrap and dead stocks.
for vegetables and fruits
Vegetables and fruits we see at grocery stores meet several standards ranging from taste and quality to appearance.
Vegetables that look strange and fruits that have some scratches on their surfaces are abandoned even though they are edible.
This project will produce processed foods and upcycled sweets out of those vegetables and fruits.
In addition to the production of upcycled vegetables and fruits, we are preparing to hold events where attendees can actually cook and eat those processed foods and upcycled sweets, sell their original recipes, and harvest at empty farms.
Project of reusing old materials and
enjoying various experience
There should be clothes, bags that used to be your favorite and accessaries that your loved people give to you.
Our project helps our customers enjoy the process of creating new items that are filled with their memories by combining various materials with the items that you have special feeling with.
Even if you cannot do it yourself, we would love to propose new items and designs customized to each one of you after carefully listening to the background of your items and how you want to revive them. It is still a project of keeping your memories in the future.
